Yikes! I don’t know where the time has gone but it’s been months since I’ve blogged. I’ve been really busy with new clients and great projects, which has been rewarding. Unfortunately, blogging has taken a back seat and I’ve missed sharing my tips with you all. But I’m back to reveal some really exciting news!
A few months ago, Colleen Richmond, the editor at LUXE Lifestyle Magazine, contacted me. She had seen my website and offered to feature some of my work in her magazine, including an article I had written on keeping one’s interior design timeless. It was such an amazing opportunity that I, of course, said yes! As an aside, having an article published in a magazine was a dream of mine since junior high when I was the (nerdy yet design knowledgeable) fashion editor of the school newspaper-- a dream that I shelved once I became a psychologist and later as I began my career as an interior designer. Sure, I’d think about it occasionally as I flipped through high-end shelter magazines but I didn’t actively pursue it. What a gift it was when Colleen contacted me (thank you, Colleen!). I felt like God was nudging me, confirming that I was on the right course in my interior design career.
Here is the first page of my article!
If you'd like to see the rest, LUXE Lifestyle Magazine is sold in a print version throughout the Carolinas, including at Barnes & Noble. If you’d like to subscribe to the (free) online version, subscribe here.
There are some helpful, actionable tips included for keeping your home timeless when building and remodeling, so do check it out! But if you need more personalized advice for designing your home, you can contact me here.
Additionally, I am committing myself to blogging at least once a month, so if you want design tips and décor recommendations, please feel free to subscribe here! I also have some gorgeous new projects that will be photographed in August, so I’ll keep you posted on when they are published. You can see little, sneak peeks on my Instagram page here.
Thank you for reading and allowing me to share my excitement with you! Thank you also to designers Jody Myers-Fierz and Claire Jefford who contributed photos for the article.
P.S. Here's a recent picture of me and my little one, you know, just randomly lounging in a lavender field. :) Let's just say I've been procrastinating on getting my professional headshots done and this is the best I've got.
